@  302 Hi Pro : (18 May 2012 - 05:23 PM) Hi SeanL: No need to pull the oil pan unless you suspect a serious engine problem.
@  SeanL : (18 May 2012 - 03:22 PM) Changing out break in oil, should I drop the oil pan also and check for metal bits? Or will that just lead to more problems. No lift, just ramps
@  JohnRichard : (17 May 2012 - 07:48 PM) I will say this.... The Long tube headers, moved what happened in third gear to forth...
@  LSECO : (17 May 2012 - 05:46 PM) My sidepipe plates have been removed since day one.Maybe the better flowing axlebacks are doing all the exhausting.
@  lancerboss302 : (17 May 2012 - 01:54 PM) @LSECO baffles have been out since last August I was reading the track key page and saw one of the things it changes was wide open throttle fueling which I am not sure what it is or does
@  JohnRichard : (17 May 2012 - 01:48 PM) @ LSECO, do you have the sidepipe baffles removed? and still running cats? @ lancerboss302, I would guess…. Gas mileage out the window, performance in hand.
@  lancerboss302 : (17 May 2012 - 01:40 PM) track key-wide open throttle fueling educate me what does this mean?
@  LSECO : (17 May 2012 - 12:48 PM) My worst scraping from being too low to a speed bump happened at of all places-the local Ford dealer while they all watched.
@  LSECO : (17 May 2012 - 12:47 PM) I noticed no difference without the sound tube.My hearing must be going.
@  Yankee-eight : (17 May 2012 - 11:58 AM) I deleted my sound tube and side pipes. :)
@  LSECO : (17 May 2012 - 08:21 AM) Not much comes out of these sidepipes !!! I leaned out car and felt for exhaust and not much, even at revs.
@  HighVelocity... : (17 May 2012 - 12:33 AM) hey whats the difference between the two forums... Boss302forum.com and boss302performance.com?
@  LIKEABOSS... : (16 May 2012 - 10:39 PM) I just removed my restrictor plates and prefer the more aggressive growl. If cab noise is a big concern, you may not like the change as it is a bit louder. It only took 20 minutes to pull mine, so i say, give it a shot and take a listen for yourself.
@  JohnRichard : (16 May 2012 - 09:11 PM) If you like to hear exhaust in your left ear every time you drive the car, go for it...
@  Poole1 : (16 May 2012 - 06:30 PM) Street legal. Wouldn't call it loud, but much noisier than w/ them in !!
@  ngpier : (16 May 2012 - 05:58 PM) How loud is the Boss with the restrictor plates removed? Is the car street legal w/the plates removed?
@  Bad Boss 302 : (16 May 2012 - 12:08 PM) Seems like changing to long tubes would perhaps be easier on a hoist.
@  JohnRichard : (16 May 2012 - 11:56 AM) The hardest part, I did it on ramps and I had to raise the car another foot to get the passenger side header in place… The Kooks on the GT, 20 hours install time on Ramps, the JBA maybe 8 tops…
@  JohnRichard : (16 May 2012 - 11:52 AM) you have to raise the engine even with shorties to get to all of the header nuts to remove the factory manifolds... The JBA seamed easier then the Kooks I put on the GT
@  Bad Boss 302 : (16 May 2012 - 11:19 AM) I bet they are. I wonder if he had to raise the engine some.
@  LSECO : (15 May 2012 - 09:34 PM) Is it safe to say: long tubes are harder to install than shorties?
@  Bad Boss 302 : (15 May 2012 - 08:31 PM) What was the problem getting the headers on?
@  JohnRichard : (15 May 2012 - 07:31 PM) I still have the stock mufflers on the car... I would say like a very mellow Mustang, I heard a Prius passing me today on the highway.. Hopefully I will get the JBA Axel backs on this weekend.
@  Bad Boss 302 : (15 May 2012 - 06:42 PM) JR -how does that exhaust sound now?
@  JohnRichard : (15 May 2012 - 06:31 PM) it takes a 15mm... use a speed wrench, its quicker... if you don't know what that is, trade your car for a Volt
@  Bad Boss 302 : (15 May 2012 - 06:27 PM) Yes unless you bring them a case of beer. You can do it yourself with basic tools.
@  ngpier : (15 May 2012 - 12:39 PM) Do dealers normally charge to remove the restrictor plates on the quad exhaust?
@  whiteboss : (15 May 2012 - 06:53 AM) Installed a set of American Racing Headers with x-pipe last week. System allows for side exhaust and stock axel back. Sounds awsome when you get on it and not much different thn stock at idle and light acceleration. Great fit and I highly recommend the system to any Boss owner.
@  JohnRichard : (15 May 2012 - 06:27 AM) No side-pipe connections, I found a source for the flanges for the factory the side pipes, A muffler shop can make the connection in in the JBA H-pipe… The factory mufflers are too restrictive, I guess to help the flow out the side-pipes… I ordered a set of JBA axel backs yesterday, this should make it flow… And the engine wants to breath in and out…
@  bossls690 : (14 May 2012 - 05:58 PM) HI everyone just wanted to let everyone who want to install OEM HIDS LIGHT on their boss that I just hade RETRO SOLUTIONS HIDS make me a plug and play wiring harness for my OEM hid's talk to Todd their very nice and professional to deal with just sharing this with everyone
@  BOSSbuckeye : (14 May 2012 - 01:57 PM) What brand was the H-pipe?
@  LSECO : (14 May 2012 - 11:04 AM) J.R...Was the H-pipe chosen so the sidepipes would be retained?
@  JohnRichard : (14 May 2012 - 06:28 AM) I installed a set of JBA long tube headers and H-pipe this week end... It was a chore…
@  LSECO : (12 May 2012 - 08:52 AM) Honorary Burn-out at 5:00 pm today. R.I.P. Carroll Shelby. (passed away Thurs.)1923 - 2012
@  Poole1 : (11 May 2012 - 12:16 PM) RIP Carroll, An automotive icon to say the least...
@  BOTIEB8 : (11 May 2012 - 11:55 AM) Let's take pause for the passing of an icon, legend, racer and good old fashion gear-head Mr. Carroll Shelby.
@  LSECO : (11 May 2012 - 09:04 AM) There were THREE New GTs with no plates yet, drag racing last nite at Irwindale !! Might just have to try the LS there too.
@  Bad Boss 302 : (08 May 2012 - 08:42 PM) Change that oil and filter at 500 miles and then you can start to flog the Boss.
@  JohnRichard : (08 May 2012 - 08:02 AM) Use no additives in anything, anywhere... If you want high octane fuel buy unleaded racing fuel from VP or Sunoco
@  BOSSbuckeye : (08 May 2012 - 12:35 AM) @ LIKEABOSS.....I bounced mine off the rev limiter at 300 miles......the engine is a beast.....put your foot down and apply pressure.
@  LIKEABOSS... : (07 May 2012 - 09:17 PM) Loving my new BOSS, but never owned a car even close to this beast. Anything I really need to know? I'm breaking in the motor slowly now (300 miles). should I be using a fuel additive? I was gonna change the oil around 1K miles, is that too early/late? any advice would be great.
@  BOTIEB8 : (06 May 2012 - 08:02 PM) Robert & BOSS HAWG thx for the help!!
@  BEARTRACKS : (06 May 2012 - 06:10 PM) 2013 Boss LS #55 Checking In From Texas
@  SilverLS : (06 May 2012 - 03:57 PM) Gotta thank a black/red LS owner at Fabulous Fords for inspiring me to put my splitter on, no problems yet. Now just need a Spring Mountain track day!
@  Poole1 : (03 May 2012 - 01:44 PM) Boss302LS2012... Try 5 Front 3.5 Rear. Modulate the rear w/ the throttle and hang it out a little too.
@  LSECO : (03 May 2012 - 08:05 AM) Ask what the other guys/gals run at Sebring.Or study the tracks characteristics for a ball park setting. Then choose what feels safe for you. if you don't ask they won't tell.
@  Boss302LS2012 : (03 May 2012 - 03:48 AM) Heading to Sebrings this weekend and would like to know the best setting for the front and rear shocks.
@  RaptorRon : (02 May 2012 - 02:55 PM) Flyboygsxr....be safe brother...you will stay in our thoughts and prayers!
@  LSECO : (02 May 2012 - 06:40 AM) Yeah Flyboygsxr...Check in from time to time and let us know how you're 'doin. GODSPEED bro.
