I read that article too. I was thinking that the Boss 302 this time around was only going to be a two year run. Then again if history repeats itself maybe we will get an equivalent "Boss 351" and/or "Boss 429". I would love to see them introduce a Boss with the GT500's 5.8 liter beast under the hood! I guess technically that would be a Boss 351!

Car and Driver = bunk

Car N Driver Oct 2012. this is same mag that tests the ZL1 and the new Shelby GT 500 660 HP. Shelby beats the ZL 1 in almost every category and still looses??

Anyway, I noticed in the article that they says things so matter-of-fact, that you think they just left the Mustang Planning meetings, etc...

Need a lot more verification of the 2015 Mustang than this.

Did Ford actually declare that the Boss would be a 2 Year Run?

I highly doubt we will see another Boss especially with such a radical change to the design of the car for 2015, and the fact that it is suppose to be a world car... and even on the off chance that we do it will probably be the Boss 351 (5.8L NA)

According to the Car n Driver article, the engine bay won't accommodate the 5.8. Has to be 5.4. BUT, I doubt CnD really has a good grip on the development/engineering/marketing strategy for the 15

If Ford said that The Boss 302 is a limited, numbered edition, then I doubt that will change.

Boss 351? Maybe, but I really dont think so. UNLESS, is the Boss project a way to get more profit without dealing with Shelby in the future???? Mach 1 with more production and profitability?? I'd lean to that as a guess.

I'm completely prejudiced as a Boss owner and would not like to see the reintroduction of the Boss this soon.

I too am prejudiced and hope the Boss is only a 2 year run.

I could see another Mach 1 possibly coming. If so, I wonder if the shaker hood would be brought back out as well?

The Letter we received from Edsel Ford II speaks of the "limited edition 302". All the press releases about the return of the Boss in 2011, 2012 mention Boss 302..

I'm just glad I have one now!!! Not sure what the new body style will be, but all the renderings do not interest me. I'm not interested in owning a car that looks like Toyota/Audi/Nissan, etc.....

The aggressiveness of the 2012/13 reminds me of how the auto industry always comes out with a great body style near the end of run; then changes. History repeats.

Remember, these styles are done generally years in advance. I'm too old to change now!!! I've got the car I want.

If a 5.4 fits then a 5.8 does cause it's the very same engine.
(Just bored a little more to reach 5.8)

just quoting the source. Car and Driver Nov '12 page 22 "due to it's height, the 5.8 appears to be squeezed out." This is for the next gen Shelby 500 .

All these rags are grasping at straws, rumors, rumors of rumors, then worse they base assumptions on these rumors to cite imagined specs!

Hey, they're fun to read and fun to imagine "what if..." but the fact is we're not going to know the real story for some time. I'm excited by what I suspect Ford will do and hopeful we'll see one hell of'a car in the 2014 1/2 . :-)

I've seen artist rendering of the "new world" next generation. It looks like a Camero, sad!
Very happy I got mine now, it's a Mustang, no second look to see if it's a Mustang or Camero,
Mustang baby Mustang!

I guess I have a little more faith. I'm hoping for a cool 5.0 based, IRS, updated car that will make a fun DD. I'm glad I got my Shelby and Boss as I think they're great for nostalgia but I'm thinking Ford has some cool stuff up their sleeves. They're not going to repeat the Mustang II or Probe fiasco. If they do...I'll be VERY VERY VERY disappointed but I'm expecting to use my March bonus money to buy a new one in April 2014.
