Great news. Ford stuck to the 2 year run of Boss 302's. We know the could sell alot more if they wanted to !!

The term g-force refers to a measure of the acceleration acting on a body measured in multiples of the sea level acceleration due to gravity on Earth, equating to ~9.8 m/s2

LS 302:
Good find, I too think this is good news in that we now know the 2012-13 Boss 302's was a limited run. So totals for both years will be about 6,500 Boss 302's and 1,500 Boss 302 LS for a total of 8,000 something, accounting for the few special edition units, pre-pro units, press cars, etc. Here is another Link:

Nothing shabby about the 2014's though. Is 3,250 alot of cars (regular Bosses) for each production year? Liked 302HP's article (liked both on posts), the headline sounded like they had to stop making them because they couldn't sell or a complete failure as a reintro (not actually). I always take things the wrong way, must be 'cause I'm left-handed and do everything backwards. Really good at calligraphy, you wouldn't believe how I do that backwards. When I worked I had to do all the certificates, retirements, awards, diplomas, truck graphics and anything else (hardhats even?)..

I think of those 8000 cars, 500 each year run were true track cars, not street legal. Should only be around 7000 total. That is very limited production runs. Boss's should retain their value well.

Not sure about your number there, I'm pretty sure that the 302R's and 302S's were separate production runs and maybe even more limited than 500 units, maybe 100 or so of each. These cars also come with Ford Motor Company, (FRPP) Part Numbers for VINS. When you look in the windshield lower left hand corner where you would expect to see a 17 digit VIN, you will see a Part Number.

Now to be sure, I'm sure PT Rocks can give us the final numbers in January or February 2012 after the final production run of the 13 Boss run.

Now that I'm thinking about it, if the 2014's are going to be a complete new car, (new platform), then the plant will be shut down for a few weeks to retrofit the line, tooling and presses, (sheet metal presses) 2-6 weeks depending upon the complexity of the change over.

I agree, the headlines do give a negative connotation as to why Ford is "killing" the Boss. We all know, of course, that Ford all along deliberately planned on a two-year only production run, so this is not really news. Must've been a slow news day...
