Just got my foglight delete inserts.  Thanks Stefan for the extra effort on the quality packaging, and fast shipping.  If anyone is considering these but hasn't bought yet, you  should jump in. I remember thinking about buying the fire extinguisher mount from Mardis, but i didn't and now can't get one.  The quality is very nice and they look great.

I don't think the inserts are removable on the 2012s, so these won't work.

Check out Bossy13's post early in the thread, his solution could work if you want to cut the delete plugs out of your grill.

The '12 grill, even with the modded fog plugs is very restrictive to incoming air. What was Ford thinking ? Retro look - more important than cooling ? ("cornfused", at 200 mph less grill opening would be advantageous - my speedlimiter is set to max. me at 155 mph!)

GraveDigger:

Tyme slayer selected an excellent choice as the Roush Mustang grill greatly increases air flow.

I used a different grill from Ford Racing, the Boss 302S grill. FORD RACING 2012 MUSTANG BOSS 302S 2010 - 2012 GT FRONT GRILLE M-8200-MBR.

A few notes on my selection. 1. It is expensive. 2. I had to spend another $75 USD for the Mustang emblem, as no emblem is included on the above Ford Racing Part Number. 3. The quality? Well, someone at the Factory sat down and used their Dremel grinder and "opened up" a stock grill, it not a dedicated grill mold! 4. Wire in the fog light openings are just wired in with a Safety Wire Plyers tool. 5. You should break out your Dremel tool and increase the opening even more. (On my future To Do list for this Spring)

But it looks real nice after its installed and it is the FRPP Boss 302S OEM part.

Another nice looking aftermarket grill is the Saleen Grill. It is similar to the Roush Grill, but it has 2 angled center supports that are visible.

Let us know what you decide.
302 Hi Pro

Zoom in on the grill to see the open areas and the fog light opening wire mesh.

Asking about the real driving light grate insert vs blank off faux for stock '13 grill only?? We were able to get 3D replacement air intake grates identical to blank off plates maybe 3 years back. Just use a Popsicle stick to lift up on blank retainer clip, remove and snap in actual grated open ones. Somebody had a set for sale recently, bought mine same price as vendor sales blank ones (around $70). Have flex and quite durable, may get soaked air filter if car is driven during adverse conditions though..

Don't think they're available anymore (rainy day story) but for say $400 a small printer can be bought.... Make your own and sell a half dozen, all paid for.

They aren't available anymore. Too much hassle at this point for a very small demand. Bossy13 had a good, cheap option back at the beginning of the thread.
