I started this install yesterday. I really appreciate the great write up 302HP. I did end up going with the standard FRPP LS gauges and did tilt it slightly to make reading them easier from the driver seat. Everything did go fine but I kicked myself when while drilling out the center hole in the dash pad, I didn't realize that drill chuck had touched the front dash pad and I incurred some slight damage. It ground away a bit of material and I really thought I was being extra careful. I'll deal with that later. Oddly enough, the kit I received came with two oil sending units and two hardware packages. I was also able to get the snap(retaining) clip on the gauge pack without modification. i have everything inside the car wired and hooked up so today I will begin going through the firewall and into the engine bay. So far the job isn't so bad but I did cuss a few tymes, bent my left thumb, cut my right middle finger and got a crick in my neck from the install work. I'll take a few pictures after I finish up today and post them here. Thanks again Dave for your insight on this job. It provided me further insight that the FRPP instructions.

Oh, I'm finished Dave. By the way, anything out there as far as how to use the center gauge? (The performance status monitor)

Yes there is, and it's out there right in your garage! Look in your glovebox, it's in the Boss 302 Supplement Owners Manual.

Hey don't laugh, it took me a month to find that out!

Ford printed full instructions in the B2SOM as this feature was standard equipment on the 2012 501A, (LS). Not sure about the 2013's, but I know you have a 2012, so your good to go. You have to program your e-gauge.

http://holley.us1.li...d3&e=f7df25d866 Kinda like this idea, picture one of these mounted on the steering column like the tachs used to be. Think some on forum are using, a few versions out there. Have to read further but appears a plug and play version is available also.

OBD II, just plug (and hard wire version) in, set the RPM, LED intensity (preselect color), I may get one of these. Comes in black or silver or black/silver, different models. Hmm Holley, haven't looked at them in a long time either.Attached File  image.jpeg   13.39KB   0 downloads Yup, would be real handy for me when backing up from the shed to driveway, wouldn't exceed rpm that way.😇
