So glad I’m not twenty anymore. There was a day when I bought mods for my cars on a whim....no real consideration. If I got a wild hair, I’d just DO IT.

I was under the BOSS yesterday and having a peek at what it would entail cutting off the stock exhaust tips, to weld on or clamp on something better looking. Now I’m in the camp of leaving ‘em alone. These cars really are special and somewhat rare. Especially mine with the red/white. I can’t bring myself to jack with it.

And Rich, you ain’t a-kid’n.........those tips are cookie cutters!!! Yikes!

Roger that on the no change BB. Now I'm asking myself the same thing, hmm. Have my stockers up in the loft out at the shed. A sock works perfect over the exhaust tip to protect or keep from slicing finger on. Ford specifically have those on for some reason I missed.

Reminds me of the early Shelbys with the bullet shaped glass packs, not sure quite when GT Mustangs and Shelbys had gone to that single transverse muffler as yet. Duals into one muffler and back out dual exhaust (maybe they crisscrossed), left was right- right was left. Be danged if I can find exhaust photo of '66 Shelby. Spec sheet does mention mufflers and a few other thumbs of what followed......
