Hello everyone,

I'm doing some research regarding a YSB with this VIN 1ZVBP8CU4D5248985

The car is from Florida.

The story is a bit the same like the one from Granted on the previous post.

Car was for sale in Browns Chrysler Jeep, Patchogue NY. It was won at an auction in New York, exported to Lithuania and is for sale in Germany.

The carfax seems to be clean but I would like to know if this car was not damaged and repaired...

So let me know guys if you know something.

Thanks

Got damn it,

How is it possible that nothing appears in the carfax?

And I just seen the car for real and it looks like new....

What the hell is wrong??

Because I've checked with another Vin

VIN 1ZVBP8CU3D5238738 Report Summary
  • Title brand records
  • Junk and salvage reports courtesy of the NMVTIS, with notes on entities, vehicle dispositions and intentions for export.
  • Collision records
  • Dismantled brand report: if this vehicle with VIN (1ZVBP8CU3D5238738 cannot be driven in a legal manner and is only sold for the parts.
  • Reports on issued bonds
  • All records of damage caused by the elements, from flood and hail to fire and salt water.
  • Test vehicle status: mentions if the car was built for testing.
  • Total loss records
  • Any and all previous uses i.e. if the car was used as police a police vehicle or a taxi.
  • Street rod brand report

And it says the same thing, so I think it's just a feature of the report.

Only thing that comes to mind is maybe scrapped due to flood damage and it may get missed by Car Fax. Have no idea how to tell unless you could check something like underside of carpet for any staining or such. Also if any glass was broken there usually can be found a few shards of safety glass around seat bolts (maybe belts too) or places where a vac can't get. They never get all of it cleaned out.

If someone paid for repairs out of pocket or done by a body shop or dealership and no insurance claim was filed, Car Fax would have a hard time spotting. At times a clean title will outweigh a claim for top dollar. But if a car is auctioned seems it was wholesaled at some point for some reason.

We had a car for sale in Germany with a manipulated (tuned back miles) Carfax. That's why I was asking for photos to check certain indicators it was repaired in latvia.

RUN from this dealer. That's the one who sold the Boss with the manipulated Carfax.

Both his current Boss are repaired wrecks (SBY and RR).

He also once sold a totaled Opel Speedster as undamaged.

I know the dealer's source which is Latvia. Only Salvage Title or worse get exported to Latvia, to then reappear on the european market.

A good indicator also is price (calculate a private import from US or CA and compare with offer - if the difference is abnormally high, this car had an accident) and side blinkers.Original Boss/Mustangs have no side blinkers and  very few EU countries require them at car Admission (UK, Austria (?))

Also, check the man-down list for Bosses here: https://trackmustang...ost-bosses.618/

Wow, that's an eyebrow raiser. Can't see in description that it was actually totaled, but believe many have been in floods, underwater and reconditioned.

NOTHING worse than a car being in a flood. I would take a car with body damage before flood damage. You can see what your up against and how well the repairs were done. Flood cars can have major problems years down the road after the purchase was done. You will be chasing gremlins forever!

Just my 2 cents worth.
