Well I be damned. I took and completed two tests to become a show judge at MCA (Mustang Club of America). I passed the test for the Occasionally / Daily Driven and the 2005 - Current Concours Mustang car classes. I haven't done any judging before and do hope to learn more as I work with my local Mustang Club and work a few shows but going through the testing and checking out my knowledge of these particular Mustangs was both educational as well as enjoyable. I'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagination but if anyone has any questions regarding MCA judging, I'll be happy to try and answer them and certainly have the resources to find you an answer.

Finally got back here and congrats on your appointment TS. Would love to see posts and photos (thumbnails too) of one of your days at the judgeship. The restos are awesome and they always look better when it's someone else's car other than mine :,)

Not sure when I'll get to a judged MCA show but I'll be happy to document the experience. I am looking forward to seeing the other side of the fence since to this date, I've only been judged. I will tell you this from personal experience, getting you class right is critical. I went to a few shows where my car was incorrectly classified and I got squat. I talked to these fine folks at the MCA and after they saw all the work I did to the car they moved me to occasionally driven, modified and I won gold. I use to think these guys were turds but you know what, they're really out there to help you. I want to do the same.

Not sure when I'll get to a judged MCA show

This is my problem I got my judge cert a few years ago and still haven't made it to a judge show. Perhaps this year I can make it to KC and finally finish it ...Wonder if there is a time limit LOL. Congrats on passing the test they arent the easiest to get through.

I've been thinking the same thing regarding heading out to KC this year too. The show is in Late August and is only about eight and a half hours away from Denver. It's the closest national show this year. Let me know if you decide to go and we can go through this internship as Boss brothers.
