Hi Boss owners,
I thought I would post this for drivers looking for a slightly different option.
I had been looking at springs for quite a while but wasn't really excited about any of the standard kits available and was staying away from certain brands from prior personal experiences.
I called Steeda and got a great deal on mixing springs from two different kits. Steeda is an awesome company to work with and their products are top notch.
I ended up getting part number 223-FD-016FSA for the front springs and part number 223-FD-023RSA for the rear springs. These are 185lb front springs and 195lb rear springs (the rears are from the Boss 302 kit).
I haven't put a lot of miles on it yet, but first impressions are that the ride is phenomenal. Also, the stance is exactly what I was going for; slightly lower with reduced rake, but not completely level.
Now for ride height measurements:
Before Rear - 29 3/8"
Before Front - 28 1/8"
After Rear - 28 3/16"
After Front - 27 11/16
***NOTE: the After Front measurement is after I cut 10" of each spring off (linear measurement). It was less than a half coil and gave me about 5/16" more drop.
I need to get more miles on it and will come back with more reviews. I just put on an adjustable BMR panhard bar today, but with rain, I haven't had a chance to get it out of the garage.
The first two pictures are before and the last 3 pictures are after.
Enjoy the ride.
