So I recently purchased a very low mileage 2013 Boss 302. The front splitter has a small chip from the previous owner as well as some rash. I know this to be expected and am in no way worried about it. However I would like to get a O.E. replacement to keep in inventory until the time comes the original is too far gone. I've looked around the internet and seen a huge range of prices. From $500+ to $350. I just want to make sure I'm not over paying. Thank you in advance for your comments.

SK.

Are you talking about the OEM one or the LS one?

Too bad because I do have an extra OEM one for a 2012 which I don't believe will work on a 2013.

I should have specified. Regular Boss NOT LS. I did check Levittown and they where not the worst but definitely not the best price.

Those things have a tendency to bottom out when parking on the granite curbing. Most people pull into a place and keep going untill the ft. tires hit the curb to stop them in ME. Lots of damage can occur there, nobody seems to look or care. There's coolers, air dams and not to mention underside of the fascia.

I always attempt to stop ideally 2' before any of the obstructions, you get pretty good at judging side clearance and ft. and rr. stop space. Not to say I haven't made contact myself a few times with former cars. Just too low for other than track duty. Like the casters idea as.Corvettes use but I'm good (so far).

Have had good luck smoothing and sanding (orbital), a few new fasteners w/fender washers and.respraying with the truck bed liner, leaves a nice finish...... All set for next time.

Most will agree that the Eibach Sportline spring kit lowers the S197 the most, except for air bags.

Thus, MUCH care must be taken at all times, when not on an actual race track !

I know from personal experience. DANGER-DANGER for a grocery getter !!

Sportlines are not for casual daily drivers!

I love my cars stance and handling with them.
