You gotta check out things under the hood. She's a real beauty to behold.

Loving the garage bud!

Congratulations! Pop that hood and show us what number she is.

You definitely did well in choosing a home for her.

Thanks!! Heading back to Az. on Wednesday. I will indeed raise the hood and get a #.

Gonna get her up on the rack and remove those plates. Did some research on the shifters. Not keen on the Hurst with the separate lock out pull handle, so I ordered the anodized blue Ford Racing unit. I hope it shows in time for me to get it done this next week too.

Congratulations! Pop that hood and show us what number she is.

Thank you sir!!

The MGW shifter is also popular.

Roger that on the MGW. Hurst decades back set "the bar" for shifters but like Holley don't seem to hear much these times. Never read anything derogatory and always remedied any lockouts. The Ford Perf. one may well be made by MGW, never saw one. As Borla makes their mufflers and Accufab the racing throttle bodies.

Me, I'm OK with as is. An old man smoking tires off on the Lewiston Rd. or racing to get first where the road goes from 2 to single lane? Lmao, not me, I down shift, brake and it fools them completely. They're all in a major hurry to go nowheres and do nothing here anyways.

But convinced at this time Ford went with what they did for the middle of the road concenus. Meaning no NVH which becomes amplified with just about any mod done (especially decibels with muffler change). You'll never hear or hardly the down side of it all. Nobody likes to admit a screwup and I'm leader of the pack with that but what a time was to be had. Nobody can tell you different......

I have the rare limited edition Boss. Thumb of what's under the hood on that baby. Attached File  image.jpeg   137.6KB   0 downloads But isn't exactly that what Ford would attempt, at least from prior stunts?

Morning Rich.... The FRPP part is made for them by Barton. It's nice looking (anodized blue) which is totally ridiculous, as you don't see it after its installed.

I will re-use the stock Boss ball and sell off the white Ford Racing unit to anyone interested. Might post it over on Team Shelby as well.

That's a well made shifter BB, all solid with no floating parts as our stock ones (said to be the problem, misaligns with high RPM shifts). They've been using strap wrenches or leather belt section wrapped around ball with pipe wrench to remove knob. Guess they don't want to unscrew, saves from damaging.

UPDATE on a few things.....

Ok, so I did in fact raise the hood and the car is #1428 and coincidentally received my BOSS 302 info card from Ford and the numbers coincide.

Anyway, removed the restrictor plates today and just got back from a "very spirited" drive................................. HOLY COW!!!! The Giant is awake!! This car may very well be my new fave of all time. And the new FRPP shifter isn't even in it yet!

While I had her up in the air, I also adjusted both sidepipes to hang evenly. Drives me BATTY when tailpipes , (or for that matter) anything doesn't look symmetrical. Leaving for the east coast this weekend, and won't return to Az for another month or so, so the shifter not being here yet, will have to wait. :(

I always wanted one of these cars, as my thread name states. Son of a gun, what I've been missing!!! :happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet:

Most excellent!

Just so you know you're not alone, I constantly find myself going around the car and checking the level of all four pipes. The Kooks Boss 302 side pipes don't move on me unless I bottom out on them but with my set-up, the adjust easily. It's the rear two that seem to creep and not always sit center in the rear cutouts of the rear diffuser.
