Hi,

Last week i was drive my boss 302 ,2013 brand new car now accident no warning lights evreythings was good since when i was drive all the warnings lights come ON with check charging system and many things ,

I just drive to the side and i turned off the car and open the hood to check but i didnt find any thing wrong then i come back to the car to turn it on but not start at all i was thing battery problem or alternator since i go to a dealer to check my car he cheked all things and he told me battery and alternator okey,

But when we put it on the scanner computer cant access the pcm ( powertrain control module) we checked all fuses and relay are fine all the connection brand new ,

My question is it happen suddenly the pcm will lose the data or damage or maybe there other issue .

From the little I know about it, a relearn will need to be done (found in owner's book). I'd be looking at not so much the battery or alternator but where the battery grounds to the chassis and so on for an intermittent connection or a harness connection not fully seated or locked in place. Impossible to locate unless actually physically inspected. Happy hunting with that one......

Forgot too, voltage leaves the battery on the negative terminal and returns on the positive. Alternator is connected to positive as this charges, returns voltage to the battery (may be helpful or not?).

Sound like low voltage.. if voltage is too low, the computers just don't play.

If I was to guess, I would first look for,a dead cell in the battery. From there, look at major, large electric items, fuses, alternator, breakers etc..

The only data which should be lost is short term items, Unfortunately this would include most fault codes.

Put the battery on a charger and go from there. If battery won't take a charge, replace it. Then check charging system

Good luck

This has happened to me while between sessions at a AutoX event this summer. Every light on the dash lit up and and the car wouldn't start at all. After several tries, the car did start and acted normally for a bit but I could feel a slight power loss (dash would light up briefly and than return to normal while I was driving) but thankfully it did not happen while I was on the course. I checked everything, including connections, fuses and the battery and everything was normal. I did start the car later with the silver key and ran it for a few minutes and then restarted with the red key and the problem has not appeared again since and that was in June. Not sure if it relearned at some point or if it was just a ghost in the machine.

Start by disconnecting the battery and letting it sit for an hour.  This may dump a few bad codes.  See if this clears any issues.

So, did you fix it?

My guess is you need to replace the battery.
