Good evening. My name is Matt and I live in Las Vegas, Nevada. I had previously owned an 08 GT500 coupe and an 08 GT500 convertible. While those cars were fun, they did not handle very well. My friend just bought a 17 GT350 and he had previously owned a 13 Boss. He said the Boss was one of his favorite cars, next to the GT350.

When I was a child, my father owned a School Bus Yellow 70 Boss 302. The picture I included was taken 40 years ago.

I found this car in Minnesota. I flew out on a Sunday and drove it back home by Tuesday night. Great car and it feels perfect the way it is (which is rare for me, I can't keep anything stock).

Great linkup with the past (you in photo?). From everything I'm reading the concenus is the same as far as overall better or equal handling with the Boss compared with other Mustangs (more fun). Not certain as to why other than the ft. to rr. weight distribution, maybe HP to weight ratio? The engine is way over powerful as is and burning the tires, loosing control quite easily is part of the package.

As in the past it's about a small block, natural aspiration, sustain high RPM and able to be successful. Works for me as is and hope to hear more about your car and photos.

Congrats and welcome to the Forum!!  Love that Grabber Blue!!  The tweaks Ford did to the suspension really make the Boss come alive and actually want to turn!

The s197 body and Boss drive train is the closest thing you will find to that old school look and feel. the Gt350 has gone to a more modern look and handling is night and day with the IRS & FPC engine.

However for me the S197 Boss is where its at and fulfills my needs completely. I don't race on street or strip or road race.

There is always cars faster and handle better every year that passes. But the Boss is a car in itself. It has an identity that has withstood the time. The 2012 and 2013 Boss is as rare as you winning the lottery. With the 2 years combined built. I'm lucky to see maybe 6 a year on the road here in NJ.

With all that being said Matt..... I want to welcome you to 2 families. First off the Boss 302 family and second to the Boss302 forum.

You say you cant keep things stock..... I'm cool with that but would hope you keep the family up to speed with your UNSTOCK parts. Lol

Start your own thread and post away with pictures. If you need help spending your hard earned money, we at Boss302 can help you spend it.

What are your plans with your 13 Grabber Blue Boss.

In the picture of you and the 70 Boss, post-16218-0-89208600-1509685967_thumb.j

It looks like you are thinking that this car would look better blue post-16218-0-06129800-1509686014_thumb.j . :victory:  Enjoy your ride every chance you get.

Great color choice Matt! Only 429 built in GB I believe. Anyway I’ve got one as well #2431 and had a 70 GB back in my AF days. Just wish I had never lost it. I know there’s someone down south that has a pair and pretty pic when side by side. Welcome to the Forum/Boss family.

Thank you everybody. I can't wait to get out and enjoy this thing. I'm fortunate (except in the summer) to live in a place where I can enjoy my car year round.

Welcome! As another "new owner" I understand what you mean- the car is just so "right" out of the box I feel no need to tinker with it.

Love the pictures, although you really needed to get a school bus yellow to match that earlier one!  ;)

I gave some serious thought to a School Bus Yellow, but it was rare to find a Grabber Blue for the price and mileage I was looking for.

#3409. It had 27,474 when I bought it and I put 1,700 on my trip home to Vegas from Rochester, MN.
